About Me

Why "Mom'Omics"?

The hottest trend in science right now is studying "omics" (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics...you get the idea). 'Omics essentially refers to knowing, listing, and analyzing all the parts of a whole in a system. So, in Mom'omics, I will attempt to show you how all the parts of my life as a single mom, PhD student, and artist fit together to make a whole new kind of scientist.
